Your family certainly is a casual bunch, especially when it comes to Thanksgiving. Donning flour-covered aprons or football jerseys, it seems like everyone has her own agenda on this special day. At Drexel Heritage, we’ve cooked up a few delicious ways to decorate your Thanksgiving tabletop that will entice everyone, including those football fanatics, to the table – where they belong!
For our last tabletop post, we look to our Solamére collection. The sleek design of the Caress chairs and Fresco Dining Table, a dining set you can dress up or dress down, gives this room the perfect blend of sophistication and comfort. In the spirit of keeping things casual, forget the fancy stemware. We used very modish forks, knives and spoons that looked great with the very simple (yet elegant) white Mottahedeh china dishes.
En vogue with this year’s fall fashions, we used shades of purple and magenta to accent this tabletop. The darker foliage-patterned runner looks wonderful on top of the lighter finish of the table. It is complemented well by purple in the napkins, flowers, dinner plates, fruit and glassware.
We also love the contrast of the bright green leaves and especially love the branch used in the centerpiece. Earthy décor will evoke a sense of relaxation in your guests. To add a final touch of comfort, we added a few candles to the table. There’s nothing as soothing as the natural light of a burning candle.
So as you gather around your table this Thanksgiving, we want to wish you a very happy holiday and hope that you will enjoy the little moments that only a casual sit-down meal with your loved ones can bring!
